How do I configure the keyboard?

You can configure the keyboard using the web driver: https://nd104.chilkey.com/connect .

Note: The web-based driver is currently only supported on Windows//macOS/Linux/Linux using Chrome or Edge.

Connectivity

How do I connect the keyboard using a USB cable?

Use the included USB cable to connect the keyboard to your computer.
If using another cable, make sure it is properly shielded. Low-quality cables may not work.

How do I connect the keyboard via Bluetooth?

Press and hold Fn + Z / Fn + X / Fn + C for 3–5 seconds. When the Z/X/C indicator flashes quickly, the keyboard is in pairing mode.

Select the keyboard from your device’s Bluetooth list.

Once connected, the indicator will stop flashing, and your keyboard is ready to use.

How do I connect using the 2.4 GHz wireless receiver?

Press and hold Fn + V for 3–5 seconds. When the V key starts flashing quickly, the keyboard is in pairing mode.

Plug the 2.4 GHz receiver into your computer’s USB port.

When the V key stops flashing and the light goes off, the keyboard has successfully switched to 2.4 GHz mode.

How do I switch between devices?

The keyboard can connect to up to 3 devices at the same time:

 Device 1: wired mode (USB)

Device 2: Bluetooth mode (Fn + Z/X/C to pair)

Device 3: 2.4 GHz mode (Fn + V to pair)

To switch between these devices, short press Fn + Z/X/C/V/Space.

Important: Keep Device 1 connected via USB at all times. Otherwise, you won’t be able to switch back to it.

Shortcut Keys & Typing

How to turn the default startup lighting effect off/on: Short press Fn + Right Shift + L

How to turn the screen character display when pressing keys off/on: Short press Fn + Right Shift + Delete.

Why do large keys feel slightly different when typing?

Large keys (like Space, Enter, Shift) use stabilizers to keep them balanced. This may create a slightly different typing feel compared to regular keys. This is normal.

How do I remap keys?

You can customize keys using the web driver or VIA. If using VIA, load the keyboard JSON file and assign functions as needed.

How do I reset the keyboard key settings?

Press and hold Space + Backspace for 3–5 seconds to restore factory settings.

What information can the screen display?

The keyboard screen can show:

 Clock

Keyboard connection mode (USB, Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz)

Caps Lock / Num Lock status

 System Layout

 Weather

 Animations

 Images

 Key characters

How do I upload custom GIFs or images?

Open the keyboard web driver using Google Chrome or Edge.

Upload your supported image or GIF files through the web driver.

Once uploaded, the custom image/GIF will appear on your keyboard screen.

Note:The web driver currently supports Windows/macOS/Linux only. And make sure your files are in a supported format and size for best results.

Image Upload Requirements

 Recommended image size: 320 × 172

 Maximum GIF frames: 60 frames

File size limit: under 2 MB

Only one image and one GIF can be uploaded.

If multiple images are uploaded, the most recently uploaded file will overwrite the previous one.

Why does the screen show a different page after reboot?

After a full power-off reboot (keyboard without battery and USB re-plugged), the screen may randomly switch to a different page.

To keep your default screen page, make sure the keyboard has a battery installed when restarting.

Knob Controls

What does the knob control by default?

The knob typically controls system volume by default.

Can I customize the knob function?

Yes, knob functions can usually be customized through the VIA.

Battery & Power

How long does the battery last?

Battery life may vary depending on:

 RGB brightness level

 Screen usage

Connection mode (USB, Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz)

 For longer battery life:

 Reduce the RGB brightness

Enable sleep mode when the keyboard is not in use

Tip: Heavy use of animations or high brightness will drain the battery faster.

How do I check the battery level?

 On the keyboard screen

The battery level is displayed directly.

 Via Bluetooth

When connected to a computer, the Bluetooth settings may show the battery level.

 Using the keyboard buttons

Make sure the keyboard is powered by the battery.

 Short press Fn + Backspace.

While holding, the 1–0 key LEDs will light up green to show the battery level.

o 1 = 10%

o 2 = 20%

o

o 0 = 100%

Release the keys to stop displaying the battery level.

How does sleep mode work?

 USB power

When powered via USB, the keyboard does not enter sleep mode.

When connected via USB, the keyboard automatically prioritizes USB mode.

 Automatic sleep (battery mode)

When running on battery, the keyboard enters sleep mode after 10 minutes of inactivity by default.

During sleep mode, the connection stays active, and pressing any key wakes it up.

 Manual deep sleep (battery mode)

Press and hold Fn + Caps for 5–8 seconds to enter deep sleep.

The same operation or plugging in a USB cable wakes the keyboard.

Tip: Use deep sleep to save battery when you won’t be using the keyboard for a while.

Where can I download the keyboard software?

There is no standalone app at the moment.

You can use the web driver here:https://nd104.chilkey.com/connect

The web driver currently supports Windows/macOS/Linux only.

Troubleshooting

What should I do if a key does not respond?

Remove the keycap and check whether the switch is bent/seated correctly.

Try replacing the switch with a spare switch.

If this does not help, please contact the support team for further diagnosis.

What should I try if the keyboard is not detected/disconnected occasionally?

 For wired (USB) mode:

 Try a different USB cable.

Try a different USB port on your computer.

 Try connecting to another computer.

Ensure the internal connector is properly seated. If you are not comfortable checking internal components, please contact our support team.

Tip:You don’t need to try every step at once. Only move to the next step if the previous one didn’t work.

 For Bluetooth mode:

Check all 3 Bluetooth channels (Fn + Z/X/C) to see if any can be detected.

Turn on Bluetooth on your phone to see if the keyboard appears in the list.

If your phone can detect it, the keyboard itself is fine.

If your computer still can’t see it, check if your computer supports Bluetooth properly or try another computer.

 For 2.4 GHz mode:

Make sure you follow the correct pairing steps: press Fn + V until the V key flashes quickly, then insert the 2.4 GHz receiver into your computer.

Try a different USB port or another computer.

Keep the receiver away from other USB receivers.

Keep the keyboard close to the receiver and avoid physical obstacles in between.

Tip:Interference or long distance can affect the 2.4 GHz signal.

What should I do if the screen is not working as expected?

Reconnect the keyboard screen by opening the top case to disconnecting and re-connecting the screen connector.

Make sure the keyboard has enough battery installed.

If the problem persists, try restarting the keyboard with the battery installed.

If this does not help, take a photo/video of the issue and contact our support team for help.

What should I try if the knob does not respond?

Remove the knob and check the pins on both sides of the knob for any obvious bending or misalignment.

If the pins are pushed in, gently bend them outward a little.

Reinstall the knob and press it firmly to ensure tight contact with the PCB.If this does not help, take a photo/video of the issue and contact our support team for help.

Test the knob to see if it responds.

If it still doesn’t work, take a photo and contact our support team for help.

Why does the battery percentage seem inaccurate?
Updating the firmware may improve battery reporting accuracy.

What should I do if a firmware update does not complete successfully?

If the firmware update doesn’t complete as expected, take a photo and contact the support team for assistance.

Why does the keyboard color look slightly different from photos?

The actual keyboard color may appear slightly different from photos due to:

This is normal and does not affect the product itself.

Tip:For the most accurate color, refer to the product in person rather than photos.
