Cosmetic Quality Standards
External Cosmetic Standards
1. Surface Finish Standards
The SF60 uses anodized, coated, and other metal surface finishing processes. Due to the nature of these processes, minor cosmetic imperfections may occur.
The following conditions are considered acceptable:
- On the top visible surface (viewed from above), imperfections such as pits, sand holes, pores, impact marks, or similar defects must not exceed 2 mm in size, and no more than three defects may be present on the same surface area.
- On side and bottom surfaces, 4 to 6 imperfections smaller than 0.9 mm in diameter are permitted, provided they are spaced at least 5 cm apart.
2. Appearance Standards
When viewed from a distance of 30 cm (12 inches) under normal lighting conditions:
- Visible exterior surfaces should not exhibit obvious machining marks, scratches, or dents.
- Chamfered edges are considered normal.
- Minor tooling or machining marks at seams and joints are acceptable.
3. Inspection Method
Quality inspection is based on normal viewing angles and standard lighting conditions.
Imperfections that are only visible under specific lighting conditions, extreme viewing angles, magnification, or close inspection are not considered quality defects and are not covered under after-sales service.
4. Metal Keycap Standards
Due to the complexity of the metal keycap manufacturing process, the following may occasionally occur and are considered normal:
- Small dust particles embedded in the finish
- Minor burrs
- Slight scratches
In addition, marks or traces left after keycap removal are not eligible for return, replacement, or warranty service.
Internal Cosmetic Standards
Due to the large-scale production volume of custom products, it is not feasible to establish or perform cosmetic QC inspection standards for all internal surfaces.
The following conditions on internal surfaces are considered normal:
- Normal machining marks
- Marks left by chamfering processes
- Minor bumps or contact marks on corners and hidden areas
Although our manufacturing requirement is that internal and external surfaces follow the same production standards, it is not possible to individually inspect every internal surface during quality control.
Therefore, internal surfaces are excluded from cosmetic QC evaluation and are not covered under cosmetic after-sales claims.
Warranty and After-Sales Policy
Products that meet the standards described above are considered to be within manufacturing specifications and are not regarded as defective.
Returns, replacements, refunds, or warranty claims based solely on the cosmetic conditions described above will not be accepted.
If you believe your product has a cosmetic issue that exceeds these standards, please contact our support team and provide clear photographs for evaluation.
