The Birth of SF60 HE

SF60 stands for "Super Force 60" (yes, following Super Force 90!). It is a collaboration between Wuque Studio and Chilkey, created as a special release for Wuque Studio's 6th anniversary. It brings together years of experience in custom keyboard, keycap, and switch R&D into a pre-built enthusiast-grade keyboard.

Why use aluminium keycaps?

We love the cool, solid typing feel of aluminium keycaps — the deep, thocky, concentrated sound, the elegantly polished, silky-smooth surface, and the vibrant coated paint with infilled enamel. Each keycap is crafted to be as exquisite as an artisan piece.

How we make them

It all starts with a mold. The process involves high-pressure casting, degating, polishing, laser engraving, painting, enamel filling, baking, and stem bonding — eight steps in total. But every step comes with its own challenges. The mold alone took over six months to fine-tune, and for the other steps, we tested 3–4 different methods and machines to ensure a high pass rate.

The WS Poseidon Switch is part of our WS Flux switch family and features a new hollowed-out magnet design with a plastic stem bottom-out mechanism, similar to a traditional mechanical keyboard.

Due to the complex manufacturing process of the aluminium keycaps, we are currently able to produce fewer than 100 sets of the SF60 for the international launch. It was first released in late April in China, where nearly 3,000 units (including 1,000 in-stock and about 2,000 pre-orders) sold out in less than 15 minutes. We already have orders in the queue, and stock for the international launch is extremely limited.

What if I miss this batch?

Some stock is already on its way to our US or different local partners' warehouses. Depending on order time, if in-stock units run out, there will be short-term pre-orders, with delivery time starting from 1 week to 1 month.
